Tablet & Injection
Visceral® (Tiemonium methylsulphate) is a synthetic anticholinergic-antispasmodic drug.

Visceral® tablet: Each film-coated tablet contains Tiemonium methylsulphate 50 mg.
Visceral® IV/IM Injection: Each 2ml contains Tiemonium Methylsulphate 5mg.


Tiemonium methylsulphate is a quaternary ammonium

antimuscarinic agent with peripheral effect similar to those of atropine. Tiemonium methylsulphate strengthens calcium bonding with phospholipids and proteins thus stabilizing the cell membrane of the GI tract.

Visceral® is an antispasmodic drug. It reduces muscle spasms of the intestine, biliary system, urinary bladder & uterus. Visceral® is indicated for the pain in gastrointestinal, biliary, urinary and gynaecological diseases such as gastroenteritis, diarrhoea, dysentery, biliary colic, enterocolitis, cholecystitis, colonopathies, mild cystitis & spasmodic dysmenorrhoea.

Dosage and Administration:
Tablet: The usual dosages of Visceral® ( Tiemonium methylsulphate) 2 to 6 tablets (100-300 mg) daily in divided doses as required.
Injection: 1 ampoule by slow IV/IM injection 3 times daily.

Tiemonium methylsulphate should not be used in glaucoma (acute pain of eyeball with vision disturbance). Also this drug should not be used in patients with the difficulties in urinating (disorders of the prostate or urinary bladder).

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation:
Avoid taking this drug without medical advice during pregnancy or breast-feeding.

Use in Paediatric:
Safety and effectiveness of Tiemonium methylsulphate in paediatric patients have not been established.

Side Effect:
Tiemonium methylsulphate may have some undesirable effects in certain individuals like risk of hypotension and tachycardia especially in case of injection.

Keep in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of the reach of children.

Visceral® Tablet: Each box contains 5x10's tablets in blister pack.
Visceral® IV/IM Injection: Each box contains 2x5’s ampoules of 2ml.
